New cardholders are principal applicants who have not held an OCBC credit card, including a co-branded card, or an OCBC business debit card in the prior 13 months. Eligible retail transactions must total at least HKD 5,000 in each calendar month, and the cardholder must also spend on a designated online platform in that month. Transactions must post by the 15th of the following month. Exclusions include instalment amounts, car loan repayments, cash advances, bill and tax payments, insurance premiums, bank fees, online payment-system transactions to designated merchants, stored-value and e-wallet purchases or reloads, financial-service transactions, transfers, fund or stock payments, property payments, charity transactions, unposted, cancelled or refunded transactions, split bills, and unauthorised or fraudulent transactions. Rebate is credited within 90 days after each month. The account must be valid and in good standing when credited. The rebate offsets the statement balance and cannot be withdrawn as cash. It cannot combine with other card promotions except the welcome offer.
