Each Eligible Account has a combined Extra Reward cap of HK$200 per calendar month across the five designated categories. An Eligible Account whose monthly Basic Reward Eligible Transactions reach HK$2,000 qualifies for Extra Reward on Specified Transactions for that calendar month; the accumulated Basic Reward Eligible Transactions are calculated for each calendar month and are based on transaction date. Extra Reward Eligible Transactions are also based on transaction date. Each eligible transaction receives the highest rebate once even if it belongs to more than one category. The total Extra Reward is the sum of the category rebates, rounded down to the nearest Hong Kong dollar. Spending at supermarkets, government departments, and recurring or autopay transactions is ineligible for Extra Reward. Spending through group-buy platforms or other organisations is ineligible except for the merchants described for the applicable category. GOAL Extra Reward is credited to the principal card account on the 16th of the next calendar month. Each principal card account and its related supplementary card accounts count as one Eligible Account. Eligible transactions include only retail spending; BEA determines eligibility at its sole and absolute discretion from the transaction codes/types issued by the card network or the merchant's acquiring bank. Exclusions include cash advances; statement instalments, Cash in Hand, balance transfers and fund transfers; purchases or top-ups of stored-value cards or e-wallets except PayMe/Octopus Automatic Added Value Service; all bill payments through Cyberbanking (including Internet, phone, ATM and Mobile Banking channels, such as Banking & Credit Card Services, Credit Services, Securities Trading, Tax Payment, Education and Insurance); casino chips; fees or charges; unposted, cancelled, reserved or refunded payments, including tax refunds on purchases; card-present transactions at merchants with physical premises, a fixed business address or a business licence in the United Kingdom or an EEA participating country (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway); and insurance premium transactions. Only valid BEA card accounts qualify; rewards for a cancelled account are cancelled and cannot be refunded or transferred; unposted, cancelled, refunded or fraudulent transactions are ineligible. If BEA finds a transaction ineligible, it may charge an amount equal to the related rebate; the terms state a conversion rate of HK$1 per 200 bonus points, rounded up to the nearest HK dollar. BEA uses a computer system to calculate rewards and its records are final and conclusive. BEA may vary or cancel the Programme or amend the terms with appropriate notice; BEA's decision in a dispute is final and conclusive; the English version prevails if the English and Chinese terms conflict. The Online Shopping category covers online retail spending only.
